  • Minimum of two (2) years in the title at time of appointment
  • Thorough knowledge of the NYCT Rules and Regulations and Department of Subways Operating Procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Responsibilities
  • Prepare Emergency Evacuation Plans (EEPs) for RTO facilities and supervise related field data collection and installation of signs
  • Collect Emergency Evacuation Device (EED) inspection forms several times each year and submit to Office of System Safety and Department of Subways Safety
  • Collect approximately 270 Jumper Cable Box Inspection forms three times each year
  • Prepare and submit monthly Safety Reminders to Service Delivery Managers
  • Generate and maintain databases for the Tabletop Fire Drills
  • Schedule Train Service Supervisors for F07 Fire Safety Course
  • Perform Fire Drills and Safety Field Inspections
  • Participate in the inspection of the physical structure of over 850 DOS/Service Delivery Room Enclosures and Conditions as mandated by the Structural Inspection P/I VII.E.1 and per P/I XV.E
  • Assist other operating departments within Service Delivery such as revenue service and/or yard operations and various projects
  • Write Bulletins, Notices, and Procedures
  • Conduct investigations into collisions, derailments, and operating incidents by probationary employees
  • May be required to work weekends, holidays, various tours to respond to and investigate emergencies and other responsibilities of the unit
