Corporate Strategy Director 

An exciting opportunity to lead our Corporate Strategy team at Motional, a leader in the autonomous driving industry. You will lead the team which is defining and refining our vision in a constantly shifting industry. You will perform deep value-based analysis to identify and address some of the most pressing issues facing the autonomous mobility space, such as challenging unit economics, additional revenue streams, and opportunities to improve capital efficiency in expanded operations. You will engage directly with our senior leadership, functional leadership, and industry experts to identify, simplify, and solutions and playbooks for complex problems.

What you’ll do:

• Provide thought leadership to business partners, including the Senior Leadership team, and other operating leaders on a broad range of business-critical topics
• Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses
• Demonstrate strong executive presence and significant influence management skills with the ability to gain credibility with Senior Leadership while challenging the status quo, often with creative, exploratory ideas and solutions
• Execute time-sensitive requests from the Leadership team, investors, and other key stakeholders, such as cross-functional leaders
• Deliver executive ready presentation deliverables and drive standard of work across the enterprise
• Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of market, competitive, technology, customer/partner, and macroeconomic trends
• Heavy contribution to and program management for strategic planning and tracking process

What you’ll bring:

• You’re passionate and intrigued about autonomous mobility and how it will shape the future of transportation
• 7+ years of experience in strategy with experience in highly-technical, emerging product verticals
• Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills and the ability to independently generate strategic insights
• Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, frame key questions, develop value-based analytical frameworks and then create a workplan to deliver an answer and clearly synthesize the results
• Outstanding project management skills, with ability to scope projects, manage, teams, deliver results against set expectations, timelines, and budgets
• High Emotional Intelligence and presentation communication skills that educate and influence senior leaders
• 3+ years of management consulting experience with one of the blue-chip strategy consulting firms (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, etc.) or comparable strategy consulting firm is desired
• MBA from a top-tier business school strongly preferred

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Mobility, Automotive, or related industry preferred
• Experience with novel technology, pre-revenue companies preferred
