Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in an electronic / engineering / IT field.
  • Experience in servicing precision equipment is required.
  • Strong IT knowledge and awareness in PC supported instrument diagnostics would be an advantage.
  • A high level of computer literacy and networking is essential with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • A Full Australian Driving license is required.
  • Past proven experience in a customer orientated environment with exceptional customer service and the ability to deal with difficult situations and customers.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers by gaining their respect and trust.
  • Proactively completing PM tasks according to Service Contracts.
  • Onsite repairs, surgical microscopes, diagnostics and installation of designated high-end products and software.
  • Upgrade software and apply patches as necessary.
  • Completing Field Service Reports and related documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, provide technical support for customers and escalate as necessary.
  • May consult with other vendors to mutually agree on a resolution.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues on a non-technical level.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills and networking experience.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent telephone manners and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain service tools and equipment and provide accurate compliance of all field service administration and reporting requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the DICOM standard, SQL and PACS is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
