Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction materials testing with a focus on asphalt, soil, and concrete
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and testing protocols (ASTM, AASHTO, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all laboratory operations including scheduling, testing, reporting, and quality control
  • Perform and oversee laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete
  • Ensure all laboratory testing complies with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and other applicable standards
  • Train and mentor lab technicians and junior staff
  • Review and approve test results, data reports, and documentation
  • Coordinate with field teams, clients, and project stakeholders to support ongoing construction and geotechnical projects
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and uphold health and safety standards
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed
