As a Software Engineer (Full Stack), you’ll work with a team of engineers through challenging development projects. Come join a highly collaborative team of skilled engineers with a passion for quality.
This position can be hybrid in the Toronto area.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate in an agile environment with Product Management and Product Design teams to complete user stories and detailed design mockups that closely resemble the final product, and then build the product based on these designs
- Focus primarily on front-end development using React, creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces
- Work closely with other Full Stack Engineers on integrating front-end components with server-side logic using Node.js and Express
- Partner with QA and Application Support teams to triage and resolve bugs
- Collaborate with DevOps to automate the build, deployment, and distribution of SPAs with static assets
- Consume RESTful APIs, handle JSON payloads, and work with various payload contexts
- Integrate and work with OpenAI APIs to enhance conversational AI UX
- Write test units and documentation to ensure code quality
Minimum Technical Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a senior-level individual contributor OR 2+ years in a high-growth startup that scales to over 10 engineering resources
- Expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript (including recent ECMAScript versions), with strong experience in HTML/CSS/JS and UX design
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, particularly React or TypeScript
- Solid experience with Node.js and Express for integrating with front-end components
- Proficiency in Git concepts such as branching, merging, pull requests, and conflict resolution using Bitbucket or GitHub
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- Experience with server-sent events for real-time data
- Experience with deploying applications to Kubernetes
- Experience with OpenAI APIs, generative AI, and agent frameworks
- Experience with RabbitMQ and Redis implementation in Nose.js
- Prior experience leveraging issue tracking systems and wikis for documentation (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
- Exposure to Linux concepts, command line, SSH, SFTP, SCT, etc.
