If you’re an ambitious tech PR pro looking for an opportunity to up-level your career, work with great people and have an outsized impact at an established, market-leading b2b SaaS company, Contentful is looking for you!  We’re scaling up our communications function to meet the needs of the business as it rapidly grows, and you’ll play a key role in crafting the strategy, driving execution and shaping the future of the function.

What to expect

• Develop and execute communications strategies and programs to drive media coverage. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, commercial leads, and senior leadership to craft compelling messaging and storylines.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with PR agencies to build excellent relationships with key media and secure media opportunities. 
• Ensure alignment with the company’s strategic direction across all internal and external communications channels to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning.
• Work closely with social media and content teams to build Contentful’s public profile and drive the company’s reputation.
• Support execution and amplification for paid advertising campaigns, PR initiatives, events, product announcements, and marketing campaigns.
• Own day-to-today internal communications (approximately 25% of your focus), working closely with executive leadership on company-wide communications and events.
• Report directly to the Head of Global Communications and Content

What you need to be successful

• Demonstrated skills in strategic communications, including creation of internally and externally facing communications materials
• Equally skilled in external media relations and internal comms.
• As comfortable with strategic planning/thinking as you are writing/executing
• Strong internal client management skills, including the ability to provide wise counsel and manage appropriate service level expectations while simultaneously delivering results that meet their needs and the broader organization
• Ability to serve as a spokesperson, as needed/appropriate
• Executive presence and the ability to work closely with the most senior executives at Contentful
• Can successfully collaborate with peers in PR-adjacent disciplines, including social media team, content team, growth marketing team, etc.
• Not afraid of technology; willing to go deep on new technologies to engage with colleagues, partners and media on technical issues
• Excellent written and verbal skills, interpersonal and communication skills with English fluency
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
• Passion for crafting a wide-range of messaging from thought-leadership to product launches to crisis communications
• Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable with ambiguity
• 5-7 years of experience, agency and/or in-house

This role will need to be conducted in a state in which we are currently registered to do business. 

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $137,000 - $152,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
