Forbes is looking for an editorial project manager to help develop and implement SalesForce platform to manage lead generation, recruiting, vetting, onboarding, and management of thousands of outside contributors. This person will also develop and implement a project management system to track the edit team’s top contributors editorial workflow. This person will report to the Assistant Managing Editor and will work with the contributors team and with colleagues in editorial operations, product, and accounting. In addition to working with the contributor edit team, this person will help onboard new contributors until the new system is fully up and running.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a project plan for a new CRM to manage more than 2,500 outsider writers throughout the lifetime of their relationship with Forbes.
- Systematize and scale the onboarding process and train editors on the new system.
- Help onboarding new contributors until new system is up and running.
- See that existing documentation is preserved and data transferred from various old management tools to the new system.
- Develop and implement a project management system for organizing, planning/scheduling, and tracking daily/weekly editorial workflow of the contributor edit team.
- Maintain meticulous documentation.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with project management and workflow management platforms such as AirTable, Asana, Monday, Notion, Trello, and others.
- Experience working with and implementing customer relationship management solutions.
- Familiarity with content management systems and onboarding/training new users.
- Collaborative with expert communication skills and experience leading team trainings.
- Highly organized and able to diligently document processes and projects for redundancy.
- Experience in a newsroom or editorial media organization.
The hourly rate for this role is $27.00-27.00
