Job Summary:

Provides support by producing digital imaging photography services for the New York Laboratory report production, by performing the following duties:

• Photograph gemstones for report production.
•Assist in the development of policies and procedures for digital imaging.
•Apply strict adherence to all security measures and procedures when handling gems.
•Communicates effectively, gets along with coworkers and management, and deals with others
effectively and professionally under pressure.
•Perform job with guidance from defined procedures/guidelines; complete tasks through application of
in-depth technical and procedural knowledge of many different varied processes and methods

Key Responsibilities:

Language skills: ability to read, comprehend and follow standard procedures or instruction in local language (proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English required)

•Computer skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must possess technical photography knowledge and skills.
•Understanding of photography composition, visual balance and consistency.
•Knowledge and use of image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw and Bridge.
•Knowledge of basic lighting principles, lighting manipulation and concepts
•Knowledge of color terminology and concepts
•Excellent organizational and planning, efficient communication and problem solving skills.
•High standards of quality control, workmanship and attention to detail.
 

Education / Training / Experience Requirements:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to talk and converse on a one-to-one basis; the employee is occasionally required to listen and hear verbal conversations and commands
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be constantly seated, performing repetitive tasks throughout the day
•The employeeis required touse pinch grip and, repetitive, fine finger and hand motions throughout the day.
•The employeeis required toreach forward constantly, and occasionally upward and downward with hands and
arms.Occasional walking, lifting and/or moving objects that weigh less than 10 lbs, and infrequently may have to move objects up to 25 lbs.
•The employee is required to stand and walk short distances infrequently
•The employee is required to be able to work in a team environment and adhere to a schedule with structured breaks

Pay Rate: $25-$27per hour
