About This Role:
The Vice President of Global Partnerships will report directly into Udemy’s CRO and will be responsible for leading Udemy’s global partner strategy and execution, with a focus on scaling revenue from $500M to $1B and beyond. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep experience in both B2B and B2C models with SaaS companies, as well as a proven track record of building and leading global partnerships and teams in areas including channel resale, co-sale, hyperscalers / cloud providers, and other tech ISV’s. . You will need a strong understanding of international markets, SaaS business models, and diverse business cultures. You will lead the global partner team which is a blend of hard-line and dotted-line reporting structure with resources across the world. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams. The ideal candidate is based near one of our global hub offices, with priority given to San Francisco, Denver, Austin, Mexico City, or Dublin Ireland, but consideration will be given to all candidates who line up closest to this job description and profile.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Driving Partner Strategy & Execution: Design and implement global partner strategies that align with Udemy’s mission to transform lives through learning, while meeting and exceeding revenue goals.

Leading International Expansion: Spearhead efforts to expand Udemy’s footprint in key markets across the globe in collaboration with country managers and other regional stakeholders.

Scaling Revenue: Develop and implement strategies to rapidly grow Udemy’s revenue by identifying new opportunities in both existing and emerging markets.

Managing & Developing Teams: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse, high-performing global partner organization. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Building Cross-Functional Partnerships: Work closely with the Sales, Product, Marketing, Rev Ops, Customer Success, and other teams to align on go-to-market initiatives, ensuring a seamless customer experience across the board.
About Your Skills:

Global Partner Strategy: Expertise in designing and executing scalable partnering strategies within the context of a SaaS business operating at scale (e.g. > $500M ARR) for global markets.

Cross-Cultural Leadership & Career Development: Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams across multiple regions with cultural sensitivity. You have a history of building teams and developing leaders.

Revenue Optimization: Strong financial acumen to manage pricing strategies, forecasting, and margin management.

Exec Sponsorship: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, fostering long-term, high-value client partnerships with senior executives.

General Manager Mindset: While this role is global partnerships, the ideal candidate thinks and acts like a General Mgr leading a diverse, global, cross functional org. The ideal candidate could play multiple exec roles within our org and has a diverse business background.
About Your Experience:

Leadership: 10+ years of experience in senior partner and/or sales roles, leading large, geographically distributed teams within high-growth SaaS companies. Ideal candidate has led a partner organization which operates within a SaaS business that does at least $500M ARR, has seen scale, and can bring a playbook for success.

International: Demonstrated success in scaling partnerships across multiple regions, with a strong understanding of both B2B and B2C dynamics. Marketplace experience is a plus.

SaaS Expertise: Extensive experience in the SaaS industry, with a focus on driving revenue and navigating competitive landscapes.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven track record of using analytics and metrics to inform strategy and optimize sales operations.

Performance Oriented: Strong track record of consistent success against targets.

At Udemy, we strive to be transparent around compensation. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and a bonus.
Hiring Compensation Range
$270,000—$320,000 USD
