Requirements
  • Five or more years of related experience and/or training, certification from a college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of machining concepts, practices, procedures, close-tolerance machining, and tooling.
  • Knowledge of construction materials by appearance, color code, and marking, and the ability to identify pipe, tubing, and fittings by type, size, and material as applicable.
  • Ability to review and interpret work order bills of materials, job allocations, and customer orders.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, overhead cranes, and lift trucks.
  • Ability to use existing tooling and fixtures for machining workpieces.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and train in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and apply basic trigonometry and geometry concepts.
  • Proficiency in a variety of software programs.
  • Intermediate to advanced programming knowledge may be required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of regularly standing and walking, performing repetitive hand and arm movements, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in an environment with moving mechanical parts and equipment, loud noise, and occasional wet, humid, elevated, fume, airborne-particle, and outdoor conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Review complex shop prints or instructions to understand output specifications.
  • Complete setups and operate manual and/or computer numerical control equipment, setting specified feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
  • Operate more than one machine in close proximity during longer workpiece cycle times when required.
  • Plan the sequence of actions necessary to complete a job.
  • Perform diverse precision machining operations on manual and computer numerical control equipment according to part configuration and specifications.
  • Monitor output to ensure conformance and consistency with specifications.
  • Install machined parts in machines and equipment when required, and test unit operation for functionality and performance.
  • Ensure quality specifications are met using precision measuring tools and serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting.
  • Train others and assist with machine, tool, job, and fixture setup, including proper selection of machine tools, speeds, feeds, and operating limits.
  • Perform machine maintenance, lubrication, oiling, cleaning, and minor repairs or calibrations according to company and manufacturer operating standards.
  • Maintain tool inventory levels for a specific area when required.

FLSmidth raises full-year revenue forecast as Q2 margins jump to 17.3%

FLSmidth reported 16% organic revenue growth and a 17.3% adjusted EBITA margin in Q2 2026, up from 15.2% a year earlier. Order intake rose 13% organically year-on-year, with growth across all three business lines. The Danish engineering company posted net profit of DKK 441 million in Q2, compared to DKK 260 million in Q2 2025. Operating cash flow was negative DKK 84 million versus DKK 527 million the previous year. For H1 2026, FLSmidth achieved 4% organic revenue growth and a 16.4% adjusted EBITA margin. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to 0–4% organic growth from minus 1–4% previously. It narrowed its adjusted EBITA margin outlook to 16.0–16.5% from 15.5–16.5%. CEO Toni Laaksonen cited strong performance in Service and PC&V divisions and improving operational execution.

FLSmidth appoints Lise Linnebjerg as Chief People Officer ahead of growth phase

FLSmidth has appointed Lise Linnebjerg as Chief People Officer, effective 1 November 2026. The appointment comes as the Danish engineering company prepares for its next growth phase, including organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Linnebjerg will be responsible for building leadership capability, talent strategy and cultural foundations to support the company's scaling efforts. She joins from Vestas Wind Systems, where she served as Senior Vice President, People & Culture for Northern & Central Europe since 2019. FLSmidth appoints Petri Virrankoski as president of Service Business Line to drive growth

FLSmidth has appointed Petri Virrankoski as President of its Service Business Line, with him expected to join during 2027. Until then, Alanas Kraujalis will remain interim President. The appointment comes as FLSmidth prepares for its next growth phase, planning to pursue both organic growth and strategic acquisitions with particular focus on strengthening the Service Business Line. Virrankoski will lead this effort whilst maintaining profitability across the business. Virrankoski joins from Sandvik's Surface Drilling Division, where he has served as President since 2019. Under his leadership, the division achieved significant market share gains, sales growth and improved profitability. FLSmidth Q1 2026: Service and PC&V order intake surge 19% and 16% despite 7% revenue decline

FLSmidth reported an 8% organic increase in order intake for Q1 2026, driven by strong growth in its Service and Pumps, Cyclones & Valves businesses, which grew 19% and 16% organically respectively. Total order intake rose 3% compared to Q1 2025. Revenue declined 7% organically year-on-year due to timing and order mix, whilst total revenue fell 12%. The adjusted EBITA margin improved to 15.2% from 14.6% in Q1 2025. Net profit reached DKK 985 million, up from DKK 351 million, supported by gains from selling the former headquarters. CEO Toni Laaksonen noted stable market conditions supported service growth whilst product markets remained subdued. The company maintained its full-year 2026 guidance of -1% to 4% organic revenue growth.

FLSmidth sells former Copenhagen headquarters for $106M net gain

FLSmidth has completed the sale of its former corporate headquarters at Vigerslev Allé 77 in Valby, Denmark, to Nrep and AG Gruppen. The transaction generated net cash proceeds of approximately DKK 730 million and an accounting gain of roughly DKK 690 million, both recognised in the first quarter of 2026. The sale involved all shares in FLSmidth's subsidiary, Matr. No. 2055 A/S, which owned the land and buildings. The financial results align with the company's previous announcement in Company Announcement No. 9-2025. FLSmidth is a technology and service supplier to the global mining industry, focused on improving performance whilst reducing environmental impact through its MissionZero sustainability initiative.
