Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 4 years of account management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries is required.
  • Experience with publication projects is required.
  • The ability to travel as needed is required.
  • Excellent project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and delegation, are required.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the clinical development process and strategic communication planning is required.
  • Strong financial acumen is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts day to day from execution through completion of client projects.
  • Serve as the primary client contact.
  • Facilitate and track projects and financial deliverables.
  • Work with project team members to communicate client needs and expectations, ensure timelines are developing, and identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Prepare for and lead internal and client status meetings, including meeting materials.
  • Understand and ensure that the team follows client-required standard operating procedures and requirements.
  • Alert internal departments to resourcing needs.
  • Draft scopes of work and budgets based on client direction and ensure internal alignment and approval before submitting them to the client for review, approval, and processing.
  • Monitor and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Report budget changes, including scope changes that may lead to overages, to the client in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate financial spreadsheets for internal and client needs.
  • Submit invoices and accruals in a timely manner consistent with internal and client-directed standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare for and be accountable for actions discussed in monthly revenue and forecasting meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records in the client’s chosen publication technology program, such as Datavision, PubSTRAT, PubsHub, JPUBS, or VivaVault.
  • Provide timely and accurate project status updates and client-requested reports, such as bibliographies, TASC reports, and icon charts.
  • Work efficiently with the publication technology team in a proactive and organized manner to optimize use of the publication technology resource.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Publications Professional through the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals credentialing program is preferred.
