Aledade, Inc. is actively recruiting an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Lead to join our rapidly growing Product & Engineering department. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and strategic individual who will play a key role in supporting the department’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis reporting and processes. Reporting into our VP of Product Strategy, the FP&A Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the department’s financial goals are met and to provide insights into the department’s financial performance.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or from our offices in Durham, NC; New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Bethesda, MD. This role can be hired at another level depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning purposes
- Develop, maintain, and update financial models to support the department’s planning and analysis activities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and provide in-depth analysis on financial performance, including variances from budget and prior periods, and root cause analysis
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements
- Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insight into the department’s financial performance
- Present clear and concise insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and business partners
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making processes including evaluation of investment opportunities
- Manage vendor contracts and generate reports that provide insights into vendor performance, and identify opportunities to optimize return on investment across our vendor portfolio. Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure that they provide high-quality products and services that meet the company’s needs
- Advise the Director of Procurement during our procurement process from RFP issuance through to negotiations
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continually improve the department’s financial planning and analysis processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar financial planning and analysis role, with experience in a software development department a plus
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience using Google Sheets, Excel and other financial planning and analysis software
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail to produce insights into the department’s financial performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to a non-financial audience
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to think beyond ones immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
