Requirements
  • A 3rd-level qualification in a Science or Engineering discipline, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Significant experience within a Good Manufacturing Practice and quality assurance environment in a pharmaceutical company or similar regulated environment.
  • Eligibility to act as a Qualified Person in line with local and European Union directives.
  • A good level of English and a valid work permit.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, GE HealthCare corporate standards, the Quality Management System, site policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Represent Quality at Operations and Quality Control Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings, provide updates, communicate concerns and escalations, and track quality compliance actions.
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Distribution Practice documentation spot checks through GEMBA checks and reviews, including cleaning standards, PIR, and documentation completion.
  • Complete batch record reviews for Quality Assurance as required.
  • Provide governance oversight for the housekeeping GEMBA process and walkthroughs in Quality Control and Operations, coordinate walks, document and track action items, trend results, escalate issues, and hold area owners accountable for service requests and task completion.
  • Own the Instruction Monitoring process, including monthly meetings to review data and trends and ensure operations actions are assigned.
  • Provide Quality Assurance support for operational escalations, troubleshooting, problem solving, deviation and investigation support, escalation, and containment.
  • Lead and support cross-functional and continuous-improvement teams on quality-related issues.
  • Lead and support root-cause investigations and resolution, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented where relevant.
  • Review, author, manage changes to, and authorize relevant documentation, including standard operating procedures, investigations, commitments, change controls, forms, logbooks, validation documentation, and batch-release documentation.
  • Provide Quality support for shutdown and startup activities to ensure compliant shutdown and restart.
  • Lead and support management of relevant metrics and forums to ensure ownership, delivery, and compliance with key site metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and industry best practice.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. The systems have received CE Mark approval but are awaiting US FDA 510(k) clearance and are not yet available for sale in the United States.

GE HealthCare launches Invenia ABUS Prime and StreamVue for breast cancer screening

GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts. The Invenia ABUS Prime system has been installed at BeSound in Los Angeles, marking one of the first US installations.
