- Assists in tracking and monitoring opportunities with online procurement systems/portals.
- Conducts client, competitor, and market research to support client and/or opportunity strategy development.
- Collaborates with the designated account managers and/or Business Centre client managers to develop and document client and/or pursuit acquisition strategies and plans.
- Collects company data and/or conducts internal/external research appropriate for opportunity response documents and/or strategy development.
- Writes and creates graphical elements for sales opportunity response documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentations.
- Engages with operations personnel to support the development of sales material.
- Proofs and edits technical and non-technical documents for consistency.
- Ensure adherence to standards and templates to present a consistent appearance/ style in compliance with Stantec branding guidelines.
- Coordinate with the dedicated graphic design team and external vendors as needed.
- Provide graphics and desktop publishing support when required.
- Works with designated response team members to develop opportunity response plans in alignment with our M&BD process.
- Organises and participates in response-related meetings (internal and/or client).
- Managers the production and submission of response documents within specified response deadlines.
- Assist in documenting pursuit debriefs and lessons learned.
- Updates/maintains non-opportunity specific/additional sales qualification and reference materials (including project and personnel profiles, images, collateral materials, etc.) in SMKC and Pipeline CRM
- Share relevant information, best practices, etc. between offices.
- Be accountable and drive quality by updating Pipeline and adhering to Stantec’s style guide /branding initiatives.
- Manage own workflow/outputs within business priorities.
- Contribute by using your skills in bid writing / creative writing (where required).
- Undertake learning and development opportunities to enhance skills.
- Support team and company initiatives.

Stantec to lead engineering in Horseshoe Bay terminal redevelopment for BC Ferries. The West Vancouver facility handles nearly seven million travellers annually and has been in operation for more than 65 years By Alex Smith | 29 May 2026 BC Ferries has appointed Stantec as prime consultant for the phased redevelopment of its Horseshoe Bay terminal in West Vancouver. The programme, expected to last approximately nine years, will modernise aging infrastructure at a terminal that has been in operation for over 65 years and serves close to seven million travellers annually. Planned works include marine structures, upland civil improvements and upgraded multimodal transport connections, with operations to remain active throughout construction. The redevelopment aims to improve on-time performance, enhance passenger comfort and support the long-term reliability of services connecting coastal and island communities across British Columbia. Stantec will work alongside Mott MacDonald and Westmar Advisors under a construction manager at risk model, in which the construction manager joins the project team during the design phase and commits to a guaranteed maximum price before works begin. Its scope covers permitting and multidisciplinary engineering coordination across structural, environmental, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical and civil marine disciplines, as well as constructability reviews. Work will be delivered through a series of call-up assignments under a master services agreement. According to Stantec, the terminal's location presents particular logistical challenges. The facility is situated next to a constrained coastal environment adjacent to an active community and marina, and ferry operations will need to continue uninterrupted throughout the redevelopment. "This is one of the significant infrastructure upgrades in the Lower Mainland," said Kip Skabar, senior principal and Canada ports sector leader at Stantec. "We're proud to be a long-term partner to BC Ferries and to manage a complex program to deliver a world-class ferry facility."
City to move forward with Safe Streets for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more. Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. will develop a Safe Streets for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for the City after the Council awarded them the project during their recent business meeting. Stantec will receive $249,922 to develop the action plan, which is being funded by a $200,000 Safe Streets for All federal grant and a City match of 25 percent from Public Benefit. City Engineer Thomas Morneau. Morneau said the objective of the federal grant is to prepare a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan that will identify high-risk corridors and intersections, address systemic safety issues for all modes of transportation, incorporate community input, and establish a framework for future implementation actions.
