Solution Architect

Job Summary

The Solution Architect, UKG role provides overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of current and future architecture required to meet company needs, goals, and strategic direction. The Solution Architect, UKG will be working directly with various engineering teams, product/process/program owners and is accountable for a solution being fit for purpose and working as designed.

Essential Functions

• Serve as a recognized expert in UKG Dimensions or UKG Pro WFM, especially across modules such as Timekeeper (time clock), Accruals, Scheduling, Leave, and Attendance.
• Design, configure, and administer time clock solutions within the UKG ecosystem.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom SQL queries and reports against UKG Dimensions/Pro WFM databases or reporting layers.
• Handles all BOOMI integrations and development in the UKG Pro WFM system and creates reports in UKG Pro WFM.
• Act as the primary liaison with UKG for product support, service requests, escalations, and enhancement discussions.
• Ensures principles of reuse, standardization, awareness of innovation, alignment between IT and business requirements are championed and solutions with as few custom elements as possible.
• Finds creative solutions with standard functionality, or encourages a change to business processes where functionality doesn't exist.
• Upkeeps and maintains organization’s IT technology standards and design artifacts.
• Stays on top of the latest trends and technologies and keep an eye out for any software, services or hardware that might improve business processes.
• Works with the enterprise architects, security architects, and other architecture teams to create and design solutions that align with the strategy and vision of the architecture group.
• Identifies comprehensive solution architectures.
• Develops prototype implementation to illustrate technologies used at an enterprise level.
• Maintains broad knowledge of new technologies, identifies those that may benefit the company and evaluates their potential integration into current solutions; considers impact to current production systems when evaluating new technologies.
• Provides project audit oversight to ensure compliance with current approved architecture.
• Accurately identifies and documents system components, logical flows and hardware interfaces in architectural artifacts.
• Creates strategies and plans for comprehensive SDLC.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Technical School certifications or Degree in IT, CS, IS required
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, or equivalent level of work experience preferred
• 3-5 years experience related to technology roles (network, server, storage, data protection, database) required
• 2-4 years or more of experience in a similar role required
• 3-5 years UKG experience strongly preferred
• 3-5 years Boomi experience strongly preferred
• 3-5 years experience support IT in Hospital system preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge in Visio, Microsoft Word and Google Suite
• Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Demonstrated skills in gathering, translating, prioritizing, and documenting system requirements
• Demonstrated experience leading developers through technical designs/builds
• Broad understanding of enterprise-level solutions, technologies and implementations and their use within the enterprise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow solutions to be articulated to technical and non-technical people at all levels of responsibility

Licenses and Certifications

• Boomi Certification strongly preferred
• CompTIA Network+ Certification preferred
• CCDP - Cisco Certified Design Professional preferred
• Storage Administrator; VMWare preferred
• VMware Certified Professional preferred
