Requirements
- A Class A or Class B commercial driver's license with a tanker endorsement is required, along with a good driving record.
- At least two years of verifiable experience with a commercial driver's license is required.
- Candidates must be at least 24 years of age.
- Candidates must have no driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated convictions within the past 10 years.
- Candidates must maintain a current Department of Transportation physical qualification.
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and Department of Transportation drug test.
- Candidates must meet Department of Transportation physical and drug-screen requirements.
- Candidates must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Candidates must be able to carry, lift, pull, or push 50 pounds or more.
- Candidates must be able to reach, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stoop.
- Candidates must be able to climb onto trucks, trailers, and storage tanks using ladders, handrails, and fall-protection equipment.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Candidates must have basic math and mechanical skills.
- Candidates must have working knowledge of petroleum and lubricant products.
- Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform used-oil recovery service stops for new and existing accounts.
- Complete documentation required by state, federal, Department of Transportation, and Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
- Transport waste oil collected from customers and deliver materials to customers.
- Sell service and product offerings along assigned routes.
- Build and manage relationships with customers and prospects.
- Sample, test, and measure collected products and materials.
- Cross-train and perform various tasks assigned by the manager.
Desired Qualifications
- One year of route-based sales or service experience is preferred.
