- A high school diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience, is required.
- One year of experience is required.
- Experience with electronic health records and patient registration is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Frequent keyboard use and data entry are required.
- The role requires the ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 0–25 pounds; occasionally handle objects weighing 25–50 pounds; and rarely climb.
- The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements, near and distance vision, color distinction, hearing, and oral communication.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping are required.
- Gather information from patients and enter it into the appropriate database.
- Seek appropriate resources to resolve issues concerning the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures.
- Schedule patient procedures to efficiently use the patient's time and clinical resources.
- Coordinate and communicate schedules.
- Assist with activities related to insurance pre-certification and authorization.
- Counsel patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
- Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in improvement plans.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Review the work of others when required.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Experience with electronic health records and patient registration.
