As the Sr. Product Manager, Digital Content, you will report to the Senior Director of Product.
HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO
- Grow The Wildest, our fast-growing cultural hub for pet parents with a fresh take on the pet parenting journey, with a focus on building and improving features driving growth (membership) and engagement (return visits)
- Work hands-on with a cross-functional squad of Engineering, Design, Editorial, Marketing and Growth team members to continue to deliver industry-leading experiences
- Gather user input as well as internal stakeholder requirements and create engineering-ready specifications, user stories, and QA requirements while operating in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Partner closely with Design on wireframes, visuals, and UX to ensure we’re creating an experience that both inspires pet parents and represents stakeholder requirements with the primary intent of growing and retaining our user base
- Support an agile scrum team by documenting and prioritizing a story backlog, and working with the Scrummaster to identify blockers, forecast timelines, and plan releases
- Work with our Editorial team to evolve and support content publishing capabilities
- Research team on qualitative and quantitative consumer data to create a customer-centric optimized product to be the dominant player in the space
- Define KPIs for product launches and be accountable for accurate metrics collection from day 1 of the feature and beyond
- Align and collaborate with product team peers who share resources or platform responsibilities to create products that can derive from common platforms to deliver a variety of engaging experiences for pet parents
- Strike the right balance between efficiency and quality with an intuitive understanding of feature scope as it relates to resources and timelines
- Roll-up sleeves on QA or anything else that ensures project delivery and success
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-4+ years of experience as a product manager at a digital media, lifestyle, or content-to-commerce company, preferably catering to a Millennial audience
- Experience creating detailed requirements, developing user stories and leading research spikes/prototype development
- Strong familiarity with at least one major Agile methodology (scrum, kanban, agifall, etc)
- Excellent skills from problem-solving to communication and presentation
- Demonstrable success in converting passive browsers into registered users and retaining them over time
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, particularly as it relates to mobile web
- High comfort with analytics, A/B testing and distilling product performance data into trends and actions
- Direct experience with Jira and roadmap tools to plan and manage projects, epics, stories and tasks
- Prior experience with publishing content from a CMS
- Self-starter drive to consistently get us to clarity and delivery while maintaining strong, positive cross-functional relationships
- A proven track-record of successfully working in a fast-paced environment with resilience to evolving priorities and navigating with grace and flexibility

COMPENSATION
The San Francisco, California base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation will include bonus incentives and benefits. Kinship provides Full Time Employees (Associates) benefits which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for Mars discounts, unlimited paid time off and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for Kinship benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable Kinship Benefits plan at a person’s date of hire.
