Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering with a strong applications focus
  • Comfortable with electrical circuit design and measurement techniques for high-bandwidth and high fidelity analog signals
  • Experience in circuit design, microwave/RF engineering and analysis, low-noise measurement techniques
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • BS + 2 years of experience, or MS in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or related field
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment
  • Willingness to apply for and maintain a security clearance
Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand how electrical signals drive quantum operations of spin qubits
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand and refine control requirements
  • Develop, implement, and document measurement techniques and use them to characterize control system performance
  • Contribute to specification and design of custom electronic equipment
  • Become an expert at spin qubit control and advise component teams on how to balance a complex trade space
  • Create and perform advanced measurements that utilize spin qubits to fully validate control systems
  • Perform on technical teams that tackle high-risk, high-impact qubit control problems
