Requirements
  • This position requires knowledge of electrical engineering with a strong applications focus.
  • Must be comfortable with electrical circuit design and measurement techniques for high-bandwidth and high fidelity analog signals.
  • Knowledge in one of the following: circuit design, microwave/RF engineering and analysis, low-noise measurement techniques.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment that integrates computer science, data science, physics, and engineering.
  • BS + 2 years of experience, or MS in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or related field.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Must have or be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand how electrical signals drive quantum operations of spin qubits.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand and refine control requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and document measurement techniques and use them to characterize control system performance, including signal generation and transmission.
  • Contribute to specification and design of custom electronic equipment.
  • Become an expert at spin qubit control and advise component teams on how to balance a complex trade space spanning simplicity, diagnostic capability, control fidelity, etc.
  • Create and perform advanced measurements that utilize spin qubits to fully validate control systems.
  • Perform on technical teams that tackle high-risk, high-impact qubit control problems.
