- A Master’s-level or Doctorate-level engineering-school or technical education is required.
- At least four years of experience in data-related subjects is required.
- A successful initial experience with Databricks is required.
- Strong technical expertise and knowledge of data and business-intelligence technologies, especially Databricks, are required.
- The ability to manage Databricks clusters and optimize Spark jobs, performance, and resources is required.
- Regular use of one or more associated programming languages—Python, Scala, or SQL—is required.
- Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and libraries, including Apache Spark, Spark SQL, Spark MLlib, and Spark Streaming, is required.
- Experience using notebooks and managing data pipelines with ETL/ELT is required.
- The role requires autonomy, proactivity, and effective communication.
- Support clients with their digital transformation and work within project teams across different scopes.
- Participate in technical workshops, recommend tools, design solutions, and implement them.
- Deliver business-intelligence projects and optimize technical solutions.
- Audit existing architectures and propose improvements.
- Participate in pre-sales phases and project estimation.
- Act as a reference for best practices and the stages of implementing a Databricks project.
- Contribute to the development of internal teams through knowledge transfer, thematic workshops, and active technology monitoring.
- An initial experience designing technical architectures is desirable.

What happens next for Gas Code Reform? 14 July 2026 Following Ofgem's decision to progress the joint Expression of Interest from Encodar, Xoserve and Talan to the Licensing Assessment phase of the Gas Network Code Manager appointment process, the partnership is entering the next stage of developing its proposal for the future Code Manager role. Gas Code Reform is one of the most significant changes to gas market governance in recent years. Led by Ofgem, the programme is designed to simplify and modernise industry codes, strengthen governance arrangements and support a more efficient, transparent and adaptable gas market as the energy system continues to evolve. The Licensing Assessment is an important milestone in that journey, providing an opportunity for the partnership to demonstrate its combined capabilities, expertise and strategic approach, while continuing to engage openly with customers, stakeholders and the wider gas industry.
