  • Experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with grantees and partners, including a deep understanding of priorities, concerns and needs of various stakeholder relationships and how best to navigate them.
  • Ability to collaborate positively and productively with partners within Pivotal to implement a strategy.
  • Strong writing ability with a clear and coherent writing and communications style and experience writing for and communicating with multiple audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strong internal and external partnerships to support Pivotal’s Caregiving strategy, routinely communicating with stakeholders and making connections and recommendations to advance the work.
  • Support the Program Strategy Director, Caregiving to successfully execute on the approved strategy, expanding team bandwidth and serving as a proxy for the Director at meetings and events as needed.
  • Work closely across teams to advise on caregiving-related matters, ensure knowledge sharing, and assess the effect of partnerships and grants in the context of overall strategy goals.
  • Track, synthesize, and share caregiving developments and news.
  • Be an active member of the broader caregiving community to stay ahead of relevant happenings, gather findings, and establish relationships with key players.
  • Support overall strategy management by evaluating progress to date, managing key grantee relationships, working with Pivotal and other partners to gather evidence and insights.
  • Represent Pivotal’s interests and caregiving priorities in external forums, such as meetings, discussions, and at events.
  • Help identify, move resources to, and manage a portfolio of caregiving policy and advocacy partners driving transformational change at the federal and state level.
  • Follow internal procedures for grant and strategy development and deployment, coordinating closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with existing and new grantee partners and cultivate or implement funding opportunities to support programmatic goals.
  • Regularly check in with grantee partners to share information and gather updates across the strategy portfolio.
  • Find opportunities for partner and ecosystem collaboration, make connections to improve efficiency and outcomes, and convene partners when appropriate.
  • Track progress of individual grants, as well as across the portfolio, to evaluate impact and course correct where needed.
  • Communicate in a clear and timely manner with team members to enable the Caregiving team to extend its reach while staying tightly coordinated.
  • Collaborate closely across teams at Pivotal, including with the Policy & Advocacy team to align the caregiving work with Pivotal’s overall policy agenda and relationship management, and with the Communications team to drive strategies for related communications objectives.
  • Provide timely information and point-of-view to Pivotal colleagues, ensuring transparency and jointly held accountability across staff, regardless of job responsibilities.
  • Lead by example by showing intellectual rigor, a focus on the impact of our work and an understanding of the rare opportunity Pivotal has to advance social change.
