Requirements
  • Possess an earned master's or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computer-related discipline appropriate to the program; alternatively, possess a related or out-of-field master's degree with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent coursework in a business or computer-related discipline beyond the introductory principles level.
  • Possess an earned related or out-of-field master's degree with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification; two years of in-field professional employment; documented evidence of teaching excellence; research and publication in the field; or relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, continuing education units, vendor coursework, or military coursework.
  • Possess an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computer-related discipline appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification; two years of in-field professional employment; documented evidence of teaching excellence; research and publication in the field; or relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, continuing education units, vendor coursework, or military coursework.
  • Submit a cover letter and unofficial transcript with the application.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
  • Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
  • Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials, and maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
  • Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
  • Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
  • Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner while complying with College policies, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Maintain a safe, quality educational environment.
  • Promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.
  • Conduct all responsibilities within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
