Requirements
  • Must reside in the United States and be ready for in-person interviews when applying.
  • Advanced vocational training plus 2 years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certification and license if required by law.
  • You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Shift may vary across a 7-day period, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying, lifting pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 100-300 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently handling objects, and equipment to maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel. You will perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning, ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming pool - if applicable etc. and ensure that equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's work.
  • The Head of Maintenance preforms preventative maintenance as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program while you monitor and secure inventory and follow established ordering procedures to replenish supplies and inventory and minimize waste.
  • This role is responsible for informing management of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets and provide input on the annual departmental operating budget.
  • You will promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • You may assist with other duties as assigned.
