Requirements
  • No experience required for Production Technician / Production Mechanic I; High School Diploma or Equivalent; Basic computer skills.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience operating equipment in a technical, mechanical or industrial setting for Production Technician / Production Mechanic II.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanics, hand tools and measurement gauges for Production Technician / Production Mechanic II.
  • Relocation assistance may be available for Production Technician / Production Mechanic II.
  • Operational Experience: ability to handle day-to-day operations of production machinery, ensure the production process runs continuously without interruptions.
  • Limited Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance: ability to identify issues, perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks, ability to use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Quality Assurance and Inspection: conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards and record results accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned equipment following standard procedure, ensures safe and stable operation of a specific machine or process step, escalate issues when needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions, adheres to all safety standards, uses PPE properly, and participate in safety audits or checks.
  • Identify and report equipment or process abnormalities, recognizes unusual equipment behaviour or process deviations and informs team leads.
  • Support basic troubleshooting and cleaning tasks (Housekeeping), assists in resolving minor stops and performs regular cleaning or checks under supervision.
  • Perform visual and dimensional quality checks, executes basic in-line inspections using tools or visual standards and reports non-conformities.
  • Minimize material waste through correct handling and operation, operates with care to reduce spoilage.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and learning activities, builds knowledge of upstream/downstream process impact, equipment setting, and quality drivers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities, maintain clear, organized work area and suggests improvements to routines or ergonomics.

Ball Corporation has released its 2025 Combined Annual and Sustainability Report, highlighting record financial performance with comparable diluted earnings per share and adjusted free cash flow. The aluminium packaging company reported net sales of $13.16 billion and shipped 111.9 billion units worldwide. The company invested $474 million across its global operations and maintained strong sustainability metrics, with 74% of aluminium in its beverage packaging business sourced from recycled materials and 84% of electricity from renewable sources. Ball also increased its Aluminum Stewardship Initiative-certified purchases to 34%. The Ball Foundation invested over $4.1 million in community support, whilst employees contributed 24,000 volunteer hours. The company delivered 380,000 training hours through Ball Academy and launched three leadership programmes for 2,000 leaders.
