Product Engineer for Metrology

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join our Metrology Team.  In this role the successful candidate is responsible for manufacturing engineering to improve yield, cycle times, costs and support new product introductions.  

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing yield monitoring for manufacturing processes
• Manufacturing data analysis for quality improvements
• Failure analysis for manufacturing and customer quality excursions
• Implementing and maintaining statistical process control with process engineering
• Leading continuous improvement efforts to improve yield, cycle time, and reduce costs
• Set up BOMs and work with supply chain and design for cost reduction
• Manage BOM design changes and process changes for manufacturing
• Support R&D to transfer new products into production line

Qualifications:

• BS degree or higher in an Engineering discipline
• 5 years of product development, process  or manufacturing engineering
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts is desirable
• Attention to detail.  Hands on experience in bringing on a new production line.
• Systematic approach in root-cause analysis.
• Ability to distill and highlight information from data.
• Experience with opto-mechanical products.
