Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification is required before working independently with a client, unless already acquired.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Applied Behavior Analysis; and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Ability to follow ethical standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Ability to maintain records and documentation in accordance with Applied Behavior Analysis funding sources.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children, parents, coworkers, supervisors, and other professionals.
  • Ability to accept and consistently implement feedback across sessions.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, lift, walk, and diaper a child throughout the day; lifting requirements are generally 5-20 pounds and may occasionally exceed 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare for client sessions by reviewing previous notes and documents.
  • Run skill acquisition programs, including Discrete Trial Instruction and Natural Environment Teaching, and teach a variety of skills using Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
  • Observe and track behaviors using a variety of data collection methods.
  • Follow individualized behavior plans and intervene on problem behavior as outlined in the beneficiary's plan.
  • Complete end-of-session tasks, including rendering time worked and completing Applied Behavior Analysis session documentation.
  • Learn and use assistive technology and other specialized equipment.
  • Attend and participate in clinic or company meetings, trainings, and case reviews.
  • Assist with parent trainings by modeling Applied Behavior Analysis techniques.
  • Participate in community events on weeknights and weekends as opportunities arise.
  • Complete team chores.
  • Provide services primarily in a clinic-based setting, with occasional local travel as required by patient need.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Experience applying Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification.
