Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or a minimum of up to five years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with customers, supervisors, and office personnel.
  • Have average ability to remain stationary and reposition the body, and operate a computer, phone, and other productivity machinery.
  • Work under varying degrees of workplace stress and accept constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution skills and diplomatically handle confrontation.
  • Work around temperature extremes, heights, fumes, dust, dirt, noise, and other safety hazards, including ascending and descending ladders.
  • Be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
  • Be available and willing to travel to locations and at frequencies determined by business needs.
  • Possess aptitude for technical software and applications, warehousing, material management, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support all aspects of the materials program for assigned markets.
  • Develop and implement division strategic procurement sourcing and management across multiple segments, participate in supplier contract negotiations, and build relationships with vendors.
  • Manage and analyze inventory throughout the procurement lifecycle, including performing cycle counts and audits for assigned markets.
  • Oversee parts, shop, and warehouse operations within assigned markets, maintain stock levels and operational efficiency, and provide feedback to improve processes.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage vendor performance, product quality, delivery, and cost based on market research; establish vendor partnerships and buying programs.
  • Manage, lead, and develop management staff through communication, coaching, training, and development.
  • Determine staffing levels and ensure compliance with company hiring, counseling, discipline, and termination policies.
  • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and issues in a timely manner.
  • Review, evaluate, and measure employee performance against company goals and standards; establish improvement targets and recommend promotions, job changes, and compensation changes.
  • Oversee material replenishment processes for the warehouse and satellite warehouses.
  • Work additional hours as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

It sells, installs, and maintains doors and related systems through divisions such as DH Pace Door Services, Systems Integration, Construction Services, and the DH Pace Facilities Group, with 24/7 emergency and preventive maintenance. The company partners with Overhead Door Corporation as an authorized distributor since 1926 and also offers services under its own DH Pace brands. Its goal is to improve safety, security, convenience, and aesthetics of buildings to benefit the people who use them, while serving customers, employees, shareholders, and communities.
