  • 3 years of construction project management experience, handling projects valued at $3 million or more.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with the using agencies during all phases of design, programming, and construction of both major and minor capital improvements projects.
  • Evaluates drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure that projects comply with requirements.
  • On-site capital project construction administration, including participating in regular progress meetings and special meetings; and monitoring contractor work for conformance with construction contract requirements.
  • In-office construction administration; advising contractors, project architects or engineers, and agency officials regarding project quality and schedule, coordination with other state departments and other project personnel.
  • monitoring project budgets; and reviewing and approving project expenditures.
  • Prepares construction project and bid documents for public bid openings to include review and preparation of solicitations, project manuals, bid tab sheets, specifications, drawings, terms and conditions, and other documents as necessary. Checking for completeness and verifying accuracy.
  • Reviews projects, contracts, change orders, pay applications, notes, pictures, updates, and invoicing and into the Unifier database.
  • Communicates and consults with project managers and construction specialists regularly, assisting with improving communications with our customers and tracking project timelines.
  • Processes change orders, renewals, approved pay applications or invoices and submit them to the agency for payment.
  • Processes and updates Peoplesoft purchase orders as needed to reconcile with the contract document.
  • Drafts and processes requests for solicitations for Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management and Design Build for approval and release.
  • Processes construction contracts and routes to vendor for signature requesting bonds and insurance when applicable.
  • Corresponds with agencies, vendors, consultants and the public via phone, letters, and email, dispensing information to assist with problems, questions, and/or fulfilling requests. Disseminates accurate information or assists in locating the correct information, consistent with Title 61 and OAC 260.
  • Responsible for tracking construction project invoices and reporting. Contacts using agency on any aging invoices and provides reports.
  • Provides data for monthly metrics report and other reports as needed.
  • Special projects, clerical or other duties as assigned.
  • Attends staff and training meetings designated mandatory.
