Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and construction or related professional services, with demonstrated capability in information and communications technology, security, physical security, or electronic security disciplines.
  • Ability to deliver accurate, well-coordinated designs and make sound decisions within the discipline.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery workflows, client expectations, documentation standards, and cross-discipline coordination requirements.
  • Experience contributing to documentation updates, standards refinement, or quality assurance/quality control workflows through GitHub Pull Requests or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, and GitHub.
  • Ability to perform occasional travel to client sites for meetings, surveys, or inspections and to work in construction or utility environments as required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Lead small- to mid-scale, multi-discipline projects from programming through closeout by clarifying requirements, coordinating design, documenting decisions, and ensuring deliverables meet standards for quality and constructability.
  • Apply engineering judgment, maintain alignment with scope, schedule, and budget, and surface risks early to keep projects on track.
  • Contribute to firm systems by documenting client-specific nuances and improving standards, tools, and workflows through GitHub Pull Requests.
  • Cultivate client relationships through clear communication, reliable follow-through, and problem-solving.
  • Support pursuits by contributing technical narratives, scope assumptions, fee assumptions, OPCC inputs, and interview participation.
  • Contribute to thought-leadership content such as blogs, white papers, and presentations.
  • Mentor Designers, Associates, production staff, and engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, markups, and feedback.
  • Lead technical design reviews and participate in debriefs and cross-discipline discussions.
  • Deliver coordinated discipline designs including layouts, calculations, specifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Project Leads, Group Leads, and senior engineers on scope, sequencing, coordination strategy, client requirements, and delivery reliability.
  • Review designers' and engineers' work and provide guidance on technical accuracy, coordination alignment, and documentation quality.
  • Maintain documentation of decisions, assumptions, and client-specific nuances across GitHub, Asana, and project platforms.
  • Review project progress against scope, schedule, and coordination milestones and surface risks early.
  • Prepare and review layouts, markups, calculations, and related deliverables, resolving discipline-specific issues.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and communicate impacts, decisions, constraints, risks, and follow-up actions.
  • Support programming sessions, site walks, surveys, and construction-phase coordination by documenting findings.
  • Research products, codes, and design approaches to strengthen technical solutions and coordination outcomes.
  • Provide structured quarterly feedback to assigned mentees when serving as a Mentor and participate in performance assessments.
  • Support training content and practical, project-based coaching.
  • Maintain accurate and timely time and expense entries.
  • Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the site superintendent and People Operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience leading discipline portions of mid- to large-size projects, supporting coordination, and providing guidance to Designers or engineers.
  • PSP or CPP certification for Security.
  • Construction Documents Technologist certification.
  • Engineer in Training certification.
  • Professional Engineer certification.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
