Requirements
  • Graduate from a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program within six years of hire into an RN position.
  • Hold an active, unrestricted Arizona Registered Nurse license or a valid participating compact license.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
  • Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant patient health information.
  • Identify outcomes, develop individualized plans of care, and implement the plans to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Assess patient progress and revise or update diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as appropriate.
  • Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while respecting the privacy, dignity, respect, and compassion of patients, families, guests, and associates.
  • Evaluate patient conditions frequently and adapt plans of care appropriately.
  • Perform aseptic techniques by maintaining a sterile field and applying disinfection, sterilization, and infection-control principles.
  • Maintain infection-prevention standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
  • Engage in personal development and professional or collegial interactions with peers and students.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and other healthcare providers and participate in ongoing in-service and educational seminars.
  • Mentor and educate colleagues and students.
  • Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety and to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations and company policies affecting the employee’s area of responsibility.
  • Keep required certifications and licenses current and valid before their expiration dates.
  • Complete mandatory company modules and job-specific training within the specified time frame.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, electronic medical record entries, and patient responses.
  • Report safety-related incidents promptly through the Midas/RDE tool.
  • Attend safety-related training programs, work safely, monitor the work environment for safety issues, and ensure others work safely.
Desired Qualifications
