Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician or in a similar position is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field is required.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project, is required.
  • The candidate must meet the Company's minimum driving standards.
  • The candidate must be able to define a project, create a project scope of work, create an estimate, develop associated tasks, and manage them through completion and customer turnover.
  • The candidate must be able to use trade tools including a punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, a 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, a butt set, a volt-ohmmeter, a 4-pair continuity tester, and a 5-gang punch tool.
  • The candidate must be able to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting requirements, and quality requirements.
  • The candidate must be able to travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • The candidate must be able to learn and teach company and customer project management systems.
  • The candidate must be able to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
  • The candidate must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • The candidate must possess problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, written, oral presentation, and process-development skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage small- to medium-sized projects and ensure contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed according to company safety, quality, management, and financial performance requirements.
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge project-related staff as necessary.
  • Manage human-resource issues and complete recommendations for project employees' performance ratings, promotions, and pay changes.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project staff to meet customer and company goals and objectives.
  • Act as the senior company liaison for operational interaction with customer representatives.
  • Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability.
  • Ensure customer-required deadlines are met.
  • Manage workload distribution and staffing levels and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Manage successful job completion, productivity, and compliance with the project budget.
  • Review job-cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoices, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting to customers and management.
  • Complete project paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers, and ensure job-closing packages meet customer and company standards.
  • Perform quality checks, manage outage prevention, conduct day-to-day job walks, and prepare redlined as-built drawings.
  • Serve as the main on-site customer contact and attend facility and construction meetings when required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Review and monitor operational processes for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency, including estimating, purchasing, invoicing, warehousing, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Develop, redesign, and implement process improvements as required.
  • Monitor operational quality and safety issues in coordination with the Training Department and actively promote safety.
  • Lead assigned operations meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage tool and truck inventory and maintenance.
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities.

IES Holdings subsidiary acquires Broadwind Texas facility for $19.5M

IES Holdings subsidiary IES Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Broadwind Heavy Fabrications' production facility in Abilene, Texas, for up to $19.5 million. The deal includes real property, equipment, machinery and related assets, with consideration comprising cash and non-cash value tied to a below-market lease arrangement. Approximately 140 employees involved in wind tower manufacturing are expected to transfer to IES Infrastructure after the lease term ends. The transaction was announced on 5 May 2026, following a definitive agreement signed on 30 April. IES Holdings reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $4.16, up from $3.30 year-on-year, with revenue rising to $974.2 million from $834 million. The company maintains a backlog of approximately $3.9 billion, driven by strong demand in data centres and communications infrastructure.

IES director sells $3.8M in shares following 157% stock surge

IES Holdings director Todd Cleveland sold 7,500 shares of common stock valued at approximately $3.8 million across two transactions between 24 February and 4 March 2026, according to SEC filings. The sales represented about 8.9% of his direct holdings at the start of the period. The sale occurred following a 157% one-year total return in IESC stock and continues a multi-year pattern of position reduction. Cleveland's remaining direct holdings now stand at roughly half their April 2023 level, valued at approximately $34.1 million based on the 20 March closing price of $436.95.
