ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Chaplain will visit with patients and their families, providing counsel and direction on problems and questions of spiritual guidance and personal adjustment.
- Provides Sacraments per patient request.
- The Chaplain provides information to patients who request it on the Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare.
- The Chaplain provides inspirational literature and other religious resources to patients and their families.
- Collects and archives data on visits. Generates reports as needed for management.
- Conversant with computer and communication technologies (e-mail calendaring, internet savvy) needed to maintain flow of information in the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Minimum (Required)
Bachelors, a minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), and Ecclesiastical endorsement is required.
Preferred (Not required)
Ecclesiastical endorsement is required. Four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education and Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains are preferred.

Pay Transparency
The hourly rate range for this position is $27.78 - $36.47. POSITION SUMMARY
Provides religious/spiritual counseling and guidance to patients, family members, and hospital employees as a part of total patient care. Maintains data on patient visits and prepares reports for management on patients served. Is available for on-call coverage as needed.
