Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8 years of experience in engineering with a bachelor’s degree and 5 with an advanced degree
  • US Person Status required due to government contracts.
Responsibilities
  • Develop distributed big data applications to support a wide variety of flight data analysis needs across a large engineering organization.
  • Take requirements from a large user base and translate them into functional software that supports those needs.
  • Engage in the development of flight data analytics designed to support fleets of military engine programs.
  • This role will give you exposure to a wide variety of engineering challenges. You will be involved in a critical role for Pratt & Whitney’s military engine programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficient in at least one major coding language (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Python and related libraries/frameworks (NumPy, Pandas, etc.)
  • Experience developing and optimizing cloud-based applications and services, preferably in AWS. (OpenSearch, lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS/EKS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience developing front-end applications in React / JavaScript
  • Experience working in Agile teams and exposure to Agile software development methods
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with version control software such as Git
  • Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems
