  • An appropriate level of drive and toughness to effectively manage multiple demanding critical projects in a fast-paced, technical environment and rapidly evolving industry.
  • Strong hotel brand awareness, including Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of travel, including hotels, charter and commercial air, ground transportation, rentals, and catering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with clients and hotels.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using CVENT, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • A BA/BS in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or another related discipline.
  • Three to five or more years of experience in sales, marketing and business development, third-party or hotel operations, or team operations.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of group and hotel logistics from competitive and business perspectives.
  • An existing book of business and industry relationships.
  • Acute attention to detail, organization, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Uncover new opportunities within the group and individual travel space.
  • Provide ongoing support to team members with day-to-day operations through client interaction, liaison between hotels and clients, and administrative support as needed.
  • Outline event requirements with clients, including dates of stay, room and meeting-space needs, concessions, and special requests.
  • Understand each client's needs, budget, and requirements.
  • Strategically source hotels and generate hotel reports for each opportunity.
  • Negotiate hotel proposals to achieve the best rates and most suitable concessions based on client preferences.
  • Request and redline contracts within an efficient timeframe.
  • Finalize and execute contract agreements with clients and hotels.
  • Use Salesforce to build the pipeline, manage opportunities, and track data.
  • Support clients with additional services, including commercial air, charter air, charter ground transportation, rentals, black-car service, and long-term or short-term rentals.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships with properties, national sales offices, and clients.
  • Manage last-minute requests, needs, and changes.
  • Follow up with clients and hotels regarding feedback or challenges encountered during stays.
  • Report weekly to the Senior Vice President of Pro Sports and Group Accounts.
  • Work with the Travel Division finance team on pickup reports, commissions, and hotel support.
  • Meet and exceed individual and department revenue goals on behalf of travel clients.
  • Communicate sales outreach activity and revenue pipeline projections to leadership.
  • Lead and update travel clients on the latest developments and relevant industry news.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior leadership in support of company objectives.
  • Use sound judgment and personal discretion when representing the company's values and objectives inside and outside the office.
