Requirements
  • Experience designing digital products or equivalent depth of experience, ideally in startup or software-as-a-service environments with ownership of significant product surfaces.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Claude Design.
  • Ability to write and ship full-stack code using some combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Hands-on fluency with artificial-intelligence coding assistants such as Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Comfort operating in a development environment, including Git, terminal use, local builds, and reviewing and discussing code with engineers.
  • Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering to craft experiences that drive business impact.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for new and existing features, and build functional front-to-back prototypes in code when that is the fastest path to a real answer.
  • Use artificial-intelligence coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor as a core part of the design process.
  • Push full-stack code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python or similar confidently enough to prototype, iterate, and occasionally ship to production.
  • Operate in a real development environment using Git workflows and local setup, reading pull requests, and collaborating closely with engineers.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure designs are user-centered and data-informed.
  • Contribute to a consistent, accessible design system.
  • Work from the San Francisco office at least four days per week, collaborating in person with Design, Product, and Engineering.
