Requirements
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields with at least five years of relevant work experience
  • High level of expertise in signal and image processing
  • Expertise in different compression methods: DCT, Wavelet, VDC-M, JPEG, MPEG, VVC, HEVC, etc.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming and MATLAB
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A “can-do” attitude and ability to work in a cross-functional team
Responsibilities
  • Develop algorithms for image/video compression
  • Work with the RTL team through the implementation and verification
  • Generate technical patents and support standard activities
  • Collaborate with other Samsung teams on joint research initiatives, projects, and prototypes
