Requirements
  • MD, DO, or Advanced Practice Provider with active Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium medical staff privileges
  • BLS required; ACLS, PALS preferred
  • State of Alaska Medical License
  • Participation in on-call administrative rotation required
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 20 lbs
  • Minimum 3 years of post-residency clinical practice
  • Previous experience in medical administration or provider supervision preferred
Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive urgent care services to all ages
  • Participate in Administrative call with operations dyad
  • Ensure overall quality of care provided by the medical provider team, including: Selection and onboarding of locums and permanent providers; Completion of focused professional practice evaluation for new providers; Annual chart reviews and feedback; Review and respond to Patient Experience grievances; Investigate reported events in the safety system; Referral of cases to Peer Review, Performance and Quality Improvement for unexpected outcomes or deviations from standards; Monitor compliance with medical policies and protocols approved by SEARHC committees; Collaborate with Clinic Operations to maximize clinical quality measures (Grant Performance Reporting and other standards)
Desired Qualifications
  • ACLS and PALS certification preferred
  • Any additional advanced training or experience in medical administration or provider supervision is preferred

Juneau Youth Services provides emergency, residential, and community-based behavioral health care for children, teens, and their families in Alaska. Services are tailored and strengths-based, delivered in home-like, least-restrictive settings where trained caregivers and clinical professionals form therapeutic relationships to support youth development and family functioning. The programs operate under the Teaching Family Model and focus on keeping or reunifying children with their families when appropriate.
