Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience is required.
  • Strong financial planning and analysis experience is required, particularly in the logistics and freight industry.
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of revenue, working capital, gross margin, SG&A, pricing, and predictive reporting is required.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle as an enterprise resource planning system and Longview and Onstream as planning and reporting tools is required.
  • A strong working knowledge of the financial planning and analysis function is required.
  • Experience within a financial planning and analysis delivery environment, including knowledge of delivery systems and processes, is required.
  • Understanding of financial reporting, management reporting, business intelligence, management accounting, and reporting financial and management information from multiple systems or platforms is required.
  • Candidates must be willing to work across different shift hours, including daylight work hours.
  • Candidates may need to travel abroad where required by work.
  • Candidates must maintain effective internal and external client or user relationships within their area of responsibility.
  • Candidates must be able to make complex decisions, identify and resolve complex issues, operate largely independently within defined guidelines, and work to budgetary parameters and targets.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc management reports for regions, countries, products, and service types, including standardized analyses and ad hoc analyses.
  • Support annual operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Plan, create, and manage reporting data and reports from various database systems.
  • Manage client communication, respond to queries, investigate irregularities and anomalies, and provide functional support for day-to-day issues.
  • Provide support to business units across the region, including product understanding, validation, and problem or query resolution.
  • Develop and load base-level budgets and forecasts for the area of responsibility into reporting tools.
  • Develop and report key performance indicators and deliver accurate, consistent metrics that improve the linkage between metrics and financials.
  • Ensure data is reported efficiently and automatically to facilitate monthly analysis and identify trends, inefficiencies, and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Provide bridge analysis comparing actuals with forecasts, prior-year results, and prior trends.
  • Prepare monthly forecast, actual, and budget packages and review them with functional leaders.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities and recommend alternative approaches to the appropriate owner to meet budget.
  • Perform planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, systems support, and data governance across the balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting for SG&A, working capital, cost of sales, and other management reports.
  • Liaise with other functions to achieve service levels and coordinate change.
  • Provide support on financial planning and analysis processes to business users.
  • Own, log, and communicate the status of issues proactively.
  • Establish customer-satisfaction action plans and provide end-user training where required.
  • Coordinate end-to-end change management across upstream and downstream environments and apply project-management disciplines to the change-management process.
  • Build and enhance quality-control processes, identify and action data issues, and measure, monitor, and report performance levels and improvement plans.
  • Develop team and individual objectives and manage performance in line with policy and the performance framework.
  • Hold one-on-one feedback sessions with team members who report to the role.
  • Reduce single points of failure and dependency on key individuals.
  • Establish staff-satisfaction action plans.
  • Build team capabilities across technical and business environments.
  • Achieve service levels aligned with business priorities and client objectives.
  • Lead the team through a team-based leadership style that builds trust and cooperation within Finance and across the business.
  • Embed simplified and documented processes, improve efficiency, and satisfy compliance requirements such as SOX.
  • Develop and drive consistency in reporting.
  • Implement continuous-improvement initiatives that improve activities demonstrably.
  • Define standards and reusable approaches within the area of responsibility.
Desired Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant, Master of Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Certified Management Accountant qualification is preferred.
  • High proficiency in using Oracle is preferred.
  • Management reporting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a client-interfacing role is preferred.
  • Experience in a team-handling role is preferred.
  • Experience in database development and report creation is preferred.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
