Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline
  • Experience in multi-physics simulation, computer-aided design, micro/nano fabrication, and testing of MEMS sensors and actuators
  • Experience in prototyping and integrating interface electronics with MEMS
  • Authorship of scientific publications and technical presentations
  • Knowledge of novel materials for MEMS and NEMS sensor transduction mechanisms
  • Experience with government proposal writing
  • Knowledge of energy dissipation mechanisms in MEMS and NEMS devices
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Ability to perform safely in a MEMS microfabrication cleanroom and electronics test facility
Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform on creative R&D projects in the development of MEMS and NEMS devices, sensors, and systems
  • Conduct theoretical analysis, design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of advanced MEMS and integrated sensor devices
