Requirements
  • At least five years of commissioning experience for data center or mission critical facilities is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education, technical training, and relevant field experience, is required.
  • A general understanding of building systems across all design disciplines is required.
  • Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards, and specification requirements, with the ability to interpret them, is required.
  • The ability to work with a high degree of independence without oversight or mentoring is required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the commissioning process and commissioning process delivery is required.
  • The ability to become proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, cloud-based commissioning and construction software, CxAlloy, Autodesk BIM360, ACCBuild, and similar software is required.
  • The ability to travel as required by the project is required, at 75% or more.
  • Willingness to become OSHA certified is required.
  • A valid driver's license and state-required vehicle insurance are required.
  • Direct positive communication with owners, contractors, and engineers is required.
  • The ability to work effectively individually and within team environments is required.
Responsibilities
  • Resolve commissioning challenges and complete assigned tasks.
  • Develop and implement the Level 1–5 commissioning process delivery set forth in the Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, plans, and specifications.
  • Oversee and execute quality observation and testing in the field.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary and cross-trained team of commissioning professionals.
  • Multitask projects in collaboration with others.
  • Lead efforts to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and help data center operators safely and effectively manage their facilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • A more detailed understanding of power distribution, cooling systems, and controls is desired.
  • Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body is desirable.
  • Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments and promote quality installation is desirable.
  • Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools is desirable.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments is desirable.

Be sure to check out more LimeLight worthy news at this link.+++RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – United Therapeutics Corporation (Nasdaq: UTHR), a public benefit corporation, earlier this week unveiled its new net zero energy distribution center located on the company’s co-headquarters campus in Research Triangle Park.United Therapeutics Chairperson and CEO Dr. Martine Rothblatt welcomed North Carolina officials, members of the North Carolina General Assembly, and business leaders to a “cord cutting” ceremony to showcase the new distribution center. Dubbed “Phase Five,” the new building is the second site net zero building on the company’s Research Triangle Park Campus, and the fifth overall in its sustainable portfolio. The 55,000-square-foot facility features a new warehouse designed to meet current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) for pharmaceutical products and boasts a microgrid-based electrical system designed to run without any fossil fuels via battery backup using two Tesla Megapacks. Among other things, the facility will be used to store and distribute the company’s newest drug-device combination product, Tyvaso DPI®, which was launched last year
