Requirements
  • Must be available until 9 p.m. and on weekends.
  • Must maintain regular, reliable attendance.
  • Must be able to follow company safety guidelines when using equipment.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop, work in a cold and wet environment, lift up to 75 pounds, and remain on their feet for the entire shift.
  • Internal store or facility candidates are preferred to have at least six months of employment with Schnucks.
  • Internal Store Support Center candidates are preferred to have at least one year of employment with Schnucks.
  • Internal candidates must be in good standing and not be on a performance improvement plan or active discipline.
  • Internal candidates invited for an interview must have manager approval based on performance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
  • Wrap, label, and price products.
  • Prepare products for the service meat case.
  • Suggest products and provide product samples.
  • Receive products from the warehouse.
  • Stock, straighten, and rotate products in meat cases and coolers.
  • Read and understand shelf tags.
  • Provide customers with proper cooking instructions.
  • Check and maintain proper temperature controls for coolers, freezers, and the cutting room.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and meat cases according to company safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • At closing, pull products from the service meat case for proper storage.
  • Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management.
