  • BA/BS or equivalent degree in a life science or business-related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in the Life Science Industry with at least 8 years of commercial experience.
  • 6+ years of experience leading a team within global marketing or a related commercial function.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and globally 30%-50% of the time.
  • Must be Bay Area-based or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for the Xenium and Visium product lines, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Routinely engage with executive leadership to communicate the progress, challenges, and opportunities within the spatial business domain.
  • Directly oversee product management for all spatial products and services.
  • Collaborate with R&D on portfolio prioritization, customer needs identification, market sizing, product definition, and feature prioritization.
  • Manage the product life cycle, including the introduction of new products, product updates, improvements, transitions and end-of-life decisions.
  • Directly oversee the product marketing for all spatial products and services.
  • Lead the development and implementation of full funnel marketing programs aimed at lead generation and new customer acquisition.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to ensure product line growth and profitability.
  • Serve as the central point for collecting, documenting, synthesizing, and communicating market research and customer feedback throughout the organization.
  • Maintain an active presence with customers through direct interactions, conferences, and 10x Genomics events.
  • Drive and influence cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations, to achieve their deliverables required for the success of the spatial business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess market trends and competitive landscape, including tracking and synthesizing current product information about competitors or potential competitors.
  • Manage key business issues, such as positioning within the spatial portfolio, driving Xenium launches and platform transitions, and supporting sales in building the Xenium instrument funnel.
  • Lead essential business functions, including pricing, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, resource allocation, and setting sales goals.
  • Establish and meet critical commercial and operational objectives for the Xenium and Visium businesses.
  • Synthesize business issues and report out for cross-functional leaders on a routine cadence.
  • Hire and develop world-class talent throughout the spatial business organization.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, training, and guidance to R&D, sales, marketing, and customer support teams, ensuring clear communication of positioning and a high level of product knowledge and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and strategic partners in the life sciences industry.
  • Act as a nexus for the spatial business, identifying issues and opportunities and developing solutions to make Spatial a compelling growth engine.
