Do you want to accelerate the deployment of fusion energy?
We’re looking for a senior professional to join our government relations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sharing Helion’s story with US government stakeholders and developing policies to accelerate the deployment of this essential clean energy technology. As our first full-time government relations hire, you will be at the forefront of building and executing our government relations strategy, working closely with our business and regulatory leadership. Your work will have a substantial impact on Helion’s deployment prospects, as well as creating a future with unlimited clean energy.
Responsibilities
- Communicating directly with US government leaders and related stakeholders.
- Developing policy proposals and related messaging.
- Coordinating our engagement across policy areas.
- Supporting important submissions to federal and state governments.
- In executing the above, working closely with subject matter experts across Helion.
About You
- Substantial direct experience engaging and developing relationships with members and senior staff in US Congress, and senior staff in the White House.
- Substantial direct experience on clean energy and environmental policy matters.
- Demonstrated track record of success, including specific policy initiatives moved forward.
- Exceptional oral and written communicator.
- Highly organized and strategic thinker.
Location
This position is based in Washington DC, with occasional travel.
Per Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act the range for this position is $104k - $250k and share options. Actual salary is based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
