Requirements
  • A High School Diploma is required.

  • Must be detail-oriented when working with numbers and names.
  • Must have customer service skills.
  • Must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with people from diverse backgrounds at various organizational levels.

  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment, including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • Must be able to perform computer-based work for an average of 6–8 hours per day when necessary.
  • Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site when required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of climbing and descending stairs in an emergency situation.
  • Must have close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection, and operating or inspecting machines and measurement devices at close distances.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and process customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, cashier’s checks, fund transfers, and gift card sales.
  • Maintain and balance cash or the teller drawer daily while adhering to assigned transaction limits.
  • Become proficient in the bank’s products and services to provide solution-based banking services and products based on customer needs.
  • Resolve customer concerns within the role’s authority and escalate matters to the appropriate manager when needed.
  • Answer phones, process wire transfers, stop payments, and check orders, and create debit cards.
  • Provide customer service and deepen customer relationships by following established customer service standards.
  • Open and close the branch as the schedule requires.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames and seek clarification or additional training when needed.
  • Work on the Summit Progression Program to learn and develop assigned skills and increase proficiency.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems.
  • Participate in community service and bank-sponsored activities supporting the organization’s mission and values.
  • Provide internal and external customer service while demonstrating courtesy, respect, confidentiality, and a professional image.
  • Maintain regular, predictable, and timely attendance to support in-person customer contact.
  • Keep the work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings.
