Join us as a Managed File Transfer Engineer!
The Managed File Transfer Engineer will work with the Data movement technology pillar to architect, engineer and support the products and solutions that service our Managed File Transfer and Fax operation. This position will provide strategic insight and execute improvements into the technology used to eliminate inefficiencies including process flow, surround technologies, monitoring of health of mission critical Managed File Transfer and Enterprise Faxing platforms, troubleshooting application and systems issues, assist in providing global 24x7 tech support, managing platform onboarding processes, reviewing technical hardware and software upgrades needed, and supporting annual BCP/DR test events.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Technical Application Management of vendor FTP software
- Experience deploying and managing servers, WIN, RHEL, FTP Environments
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and managing upgrades.
- Performance monitoring and optimization
- Attention to details and thoroughness with deployment.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Hardware/software issues
- Addressing network connectivity
- Recovering data from systems failures
- Automation and scripting
- Experience with FTP software ( e.g., Sterling, Global Scape)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or equivalent work experience
- Several years of experience in data migration, proving a track record of successful data transfer projects.
- Strong Managed File Transfer architectural design experience
- Clear understandings on communication protocols like
- Clear understanding of network segmentation, LAN, VLAN, DMZ
- Experience in disaster recovery high availably resiliency planning and execution
- Strong working knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure capabilities and interactions with Managed File Transfer Processes
- Experience with scripting and orchestration – Transact SQL / PowerShell/Python
- Experience with configuring end to end setups installations, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting issues
- Strong Financial services industry knowledge
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience working on Job scheduling tools like Autosys
- Must be able to communicate and effectively work with customers, clients, stakeholders, Internal line of business and IT teams
- Must be able to convey both technical and non-technical concepts to wide audience
- Must have strong sense of urgency and customer service focus
- Provide 24/7 Level 3 support for file transfer issues and ensure all business-critical files are transmitted within pre-defined SLA’s
