- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
- A current New York State Radiologic Technologist License is required.
- New York State Certification for Intravascular Contrast Media Injection is required, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography (R) is required.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), or eligibility to obtain certification and registration within six months of hire, is required.
- The ability to maintain New York State and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists continuing education and credential renewal requirements is required.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, Radiology Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, and modality-specific software is required.
- Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required.
- The employee must work on-site and live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian.
- The position requires part-time availability on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations.
- Utilize advanced imaging technology, Radiology Information Systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, and digital data management tools.
- Work under the direction of a radiologist and departmental leadership to deliver safe, accurate, and efficient patient care.
- Collaborate with clinical specialties and the Diagnostic Imaging team in a high-volume academic healthcare environment.
- Experience working with GE imaging technology.
- At least one year of Diagnostic Imaging experience.
- Recent MRI experience.
