Responsibilities
  • Determines workload priorities, assigns work, and coordinates staff to ensure timely, high-quality work in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinates and reviews Arizona 811 blue stake requests for the City's fiber optic and copper networks.
  • Reviews and inspects contractor installations of fiber optic components, ensuring compliance with City standards, Arizona 811 requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Ensures the completion of preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of portable and mobile radios, lntraplex system components, fire alerting systems, dispatch consoles, and emergency power systems.
  • Supervises and assists with diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic systems in City vehicles, including lights, sirens, radios, and internal communication systems, while ensuring proper up-fitting and down-fitting processes.
  • Builds strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to address department related issues and support effective communication.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience performing Fiber Optic and Copper Network installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Certifications in fiber optic testing or installation.
