  • One year of kitchen OR retail food service experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 preferred.
  • Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Create, delegate, monitor, and update daily production lists in support of department needs and train new clerks on essential duties.
  • Communicate departmental needs to Meat and Seafood service manager on a regular basis.
  • Keeping the department and equipment in working order, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking coolers, reach ins, and storage areas, rotating stock, labeling items and assist in maintaining accurate pricing and product signage, update for daily specials, etc.
  • Assisting customers with product questions and locating products in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner and referring them to other staff as necessary. This includes learning and understanding 'Fishwise' program ensuring proper implementation, display of materials, signage, and talking points for staff.
  • Merchandise attractively and purposefully while ensuring rotation of fresh Meat and Seafood in all areas.
  • Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
