Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a current Licensed Practical Nurse license are required.
  • Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias is required.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks is required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to health and wellness residents is required.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new applications, is required.
  • The role requires the physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • The role requires lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, including intermittent lifting and supporting of residents, while using proper body mechanics.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all residents.
  • Assist in training and monitoring medication administration.
  • Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies.
  • Maintain clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Promote a high degree of service to residents while leading and demonstrating the company mission.
  • Conduct thorough resident assessments.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.
