Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in PR and communications, preferably in ECommerce, retail or consumer led businesses
  • Proven success in securing media coverage across national, regional, and niche outlets
  • Strong relationships with U.S. media, especially in food, lifestyle, and tech sectors
  • Deep understanding of and connection to Asian cultures and communities in the U.S. is highly preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience developing and executing crisis management and resolution plans
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive PR and communications strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and generate opportunities for coverage with key media outlets
  • Craft compelling brand narratives that highlight Weee!’s unique value proposition
  • Work closely with the Executive and Leadership team to develop thought leadership platforms
  • Oversee the development of PR materials including press releases and media pitches
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure cohesive messaging
  • Coordinate PR for brand events, product launches, and community engagement initiatives
  • Analyze media coverage and PR performance, providing regular reports and recommendations
  • Develop and implement a crisis communications playbook

  • Prior experience working in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and trends
  • Multilingual abilities (especially in Mandarin, Cantonese, or other Asian languages) are a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
